Christmas is not about things

Those of you worrying about getting your children things and asking for wants; don’t fret. They’re not going to remember most of things you bought them. What they will remember is the experiences you made for them. So, instead of relying on the hope that you’ll somehow be able to get them material goods, try making the Christmas season one of experiences.

Some that cost little or no money are:
Breakfast with Santa (tons of places around Kitsap; one is “That One Place” 17th from 9-12. Check MacaroniKids.com to see others.
Port Orchard Hometown Holiday Benefit
Visit Poulsbo.com
Bake some cookies or cupcakes to take to your neighbors
Do a family cleanup of a senior’s yard
Go caroling
Take a hayride

There is a lot to do. Memories are so much more important than things.
